Why Innovest
AI can answer almost any question today. It can build a financial model, summarize an earnings call, or map a competitive landscape in seconds.
What it can't do is understand why a business or project actually works. Because businesses are run by people like founders with specific grievances against the status quo, operators making judgment calls under pressure, investors reading conviction in a pitch that no dataset captures.
Connecting those dots takes human judgment, creativity, taste and intuition. These human 'features' are built the same way they have always been built; by reading more, studying more real examples, and lived experiences, your own or those of others. Exactly why we like reading biographies...so we can emulate the successful strategies and avoid the mistakes of others.

The Founder - Sonia Ketkar
Sonia Ketkar holds a doctorate in business and strategy and has spent 20 years at the intersection of innovation and investment.
She started as an academic, researching and teaching business strategy and foreign investment, studying how companies build and lose competitive advantage.
Alongside that, she worked directly with startups, sitting on the board of advisors for a university-based business incubator, reviewing business plans and feasibility studies to decide which ventures were worth backing, and building a consulting program that connected startups with strategic resources.
She then moved to industry, leading data science and product teams to deliver solutions for enterprise and mid-market clients, watching firsthand how data and technology reshape entire industries.
Today, she's building Innovest, covering the intersection of technology and capital.....where the next decade is being built and bet on.
